Animal Ambulance and Pet Taxi

Safe pet transport is a must for your pet, whether it’s a trip to the vets, the groomers, because you’re moving home or in an emergency.

We can help you get your pets to the surgery for routine appointments, or for urgent attention and can attend appointments on your behalf if you are unable to for any reason.

We work closely with Oakfield, Riversmeet, Mercia, Your Vets, The PDSA, Willows Referrals, 608 and many more local vets. All our ambulance teams are pet first aid and pet handling trained and have received further training at an RCVS accredited veterinary hospital practice. Their skills include handling and administering medications and emergency medicine.

Our Pet Taxi / Animal Ambulance has been designed with safety, welfare and comfort in mind; to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for your pets. The vehicle holds DEFRA approval for both long and short journeys, as required by UK Law. The design features bespoke animal accommodation, with escape hatches and veterinary grade construction. It carries pet first aid equipment, pet carriers, hygiene and cleaning solutions and spare vet bed material.

We are fully insured and happy to quote for any job locally or nationally.

When several taxi companies and uber let us down with cancellations and other nonsense getting my 10 year old husky back from surgery, Animals at home were here for us, with no notice. Absolutely stellar.

Rhianna Black

I really appreciate all you guys have done. We were relaxed knowing Bee was safe in your care on the way to the airport.

Where do I begin with getting across how incredible the service Jon provided us last night was.

Our dog is about 50kgs and ordinarily in the best of health. Sadly yesterday she had a stroke and needed to get to the vet immediately. I was home alone, neighbours had gone to bed and I just couldn’t lift her into the car.

After much panic we contacted Jon who was at my house exactly when he said he would be. His very well kitted out van had plenty of room for my dog. He offered to take me to the vet instead of driving ahead but I didn’t want to hold him up. We got to the vets, he helped move her from the van to the trolley and stayed a while to check I was ok.

My dog is still with us and may make a full recovery depending on how she responds to the treatment – getting her to the vet quickly played no small part in that.

Now we know about the service it is such peace of mind.

Do not hesitate for a second contacting Animals at Home.

we had cause to phone NW Animals at Home it was time to let our Springer Spaniel Sam go on his final journey. They made the appointment at vets for us. Jonathan arrived at the said time and spent some time with us and Sam. they arranged the cremation and returned Sam’s ashes to us. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Caring, compassionate and highly professional.

We literally can’t put into words how grateful we are! Our beautiful Toby Toes sadly passed, I called John in a frantic state, he put me at ease and came so quickly! Wrapping Toby in a blanket, and allowing him to be taken with his beloved bed! I was an absolute mess, but I didn’t once feel uncomfortable with johns presence in the house, despite not knowing him! I couldn’t remember a word he said to me, so the following day I called, and Mandy kindly updated me, and also sent me a hug down the phone….I didn’t once feel a nuisance! Toby was returned just over a day later, with a beautiful card, candle, and even a packet of sweets for my 4 year old! John, thank you…your kindness, empathy and tenderness made an unbearable situation more bearable if that makes sense!

This is a really great service, which helped us out in an emergency with their Animal Ambulance. We needed assistance in transporting our semi-feral cat to a local vet and Animals at Home North Warwickshire came to the rescue. They helped us get her into her cat basket and to the vet. We were at our wits end after calling around multiple vets and trying to get a home visit so when we came across their details online we got straight onto them. We spoke to Mandy, who was really helpful and understanding of our situation. After we’d made a couple of calls to our local vet to establish appointment availability, our cat’s transport was arranged. The process was smooth, calm and super efficient, which was exactly what we needed on a very challenging and stressful day. We would not hesitate to recommend them to people who have difficulty transporting their animals to vet appointments. Fabulous service, keep up the good work!

Absolutely first class service. It didn’t feel like a service by a company, it felt as if trusted friends had stepped in and helped out. I couldn’t have wished for lovelier people to transport my dog for me. You’d be very hard-pushed to find anyone better. So caring of my dog and me. I would very highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. You’re kept updated with journey times, with photos. My dog was given a break during his journey of three hours. These people really do care. Their pricing is more than fair. I would definitely use their lovely service again. Thank you so much, again.

These guys were phenomenal – we had a very poorly dog that needed to be transported between specialist hospitals – they were professional and managed to fit us in at very short notice… Jon kept us updated en- route and Mandy was also amazing as was dealing with a very emotional mess when I first called.

Jonathan & Stephen collected my Rescue GSP Millie from Manchester Airport last night and kept me informed all the way along. They joined the Flight chat group & even managed to take a video of the plane the dogs were travelling on coming in to land. Very impressive. They were very professional in all that was needed to be done & kept me informed all the time.

They let me know as they were leaving & gave me an accurate ETA(01:45am). It was a long night for all of us & they were very kind, caring & friendly.

They brought Millie into the house in her crate ,undid it & got her out. They were lovely with Millie & she was happy, comfortable & confident in their company. They took the crate apart for me & put it in the garden having taken all the screws out as required making it easier for me.

I would be very happy to use them again in the future for any of their compressive services & would recommend them very highly.

Thank you so much for making Millie s arrival so stress free & comfortable.

If you’re anything like me your life is one big schedule and sometimes its just not that flexible. Running a business is the beating heart in my life, and it comes before many things. If you’re an entrepreneur you will know the level of obsession required to show up every day with 100% of your energy. Because of this also knew that getting a puppy in a pandemic probably wouldn’t be straightforward. At the time of researching breeders the country was in lockdown and miserable, grey February weather was getting me down. Perhaps more so than usual with the loss of my dearest little Doggy who you all knew and loved. My heart ached without a dog of my own.

We were very particular about breeding lines and more than willing to travel for the right litter. One evening I hopped on my laptop and started researching, breeders, dog couriers and pet taxis. Was there such a thing? Would it be legit? Would my puppy be safe and happy?

Little did I know that it could all work out so well.

So, to my dearest friends; Mandy, Jon and Verity from @animalsathomenw thank you from the bottom of our heats for doing the most fantastic job in bringing our puppy home. You made a big, overwhelming journey extraordinarily easy, relaxing and stress-free for all of us. You did so much and it was extraordinary from start to finish.

Besides the hard work of the team I have to mention their trusty steed. The pet ambulance! What a professional set up – we were honored to hire it.

Excellent service, lovely friendly and compassionate people, and not as expensive as I thought , would have been willing to pay more. Very helpful and were on time coming to me.As I am unable to get my dog in my car, without them I would have had a real problem. Would highly recommend them.

Hayley Gisbourne

I cannot thank Verity and Jon(Animals at Home) enough for their help last night after my dog had been attacked.

With no vets being open due to the bank holiday they were prompt, professional and efficient from everything from sorting my dogs wounds, sourcing the only open emergency vets open that day and transporting us both there and back – they also supported me too at such a worrying time for me.

Thank you so much Verity and Jon(Animals at Home) for your help and service.

They are a Number 1 service and I would definitely recommend them 100%.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Sid our Border Collie on Saturday. Without the help of Jon and Verity I don’t know how I would have coped. They were absolutely amazing right from the word go. So caring and compassionate. They managed to put Sid at ease and me too. I won’t ever be able to thank them enough for their excellent service and would highly recommend them to anyone struggling to get their pets to the vets. Thank you both. Wishing you all the success for the future. Elaine and Ken

A big Thank you to Animals at home. I rang them today as my parents Cat in distress and they have no transport.A call this morning advised Pet Ambulance/Taxi available. Arrived at my parents and so very helpful, kind and supportive. They took Tash to the Vets in his basket as too uncomfortable to put on carrier. Stayed with him at Vets. When dropped him off explained everything to my parents. Mom so grateful for the kindness shown. Never knew this service existed and its a fantastic support network.

Thank You

I made an enquiry on line regarding the delivery of our new puppy. Within the hour I had received a call from Jon who was very friendly and helpful. A quote was sent shortly afterwards which was a competitive price compared with others. Arrangements were made very quickly and our new pup was safely delivered over 200 miles on the Sunday afternoon. A thoroughly professional and friendly service, being kept up to date with calls and texts plus pictures at every stage. All carried out safely observing the Covid 19 contactless procedures. Many thanks again to Jon and his team for an excellent service which I highly recommend.

I needed a dog transporting from curdworth to a specialist vets in Nottingham for an X-ray to see if they could perform spinal surgery. Verity arrived within 20 minutes of me ringing her and was very professional & friendly. I would definitely use animals at home myself if I’m ever in a situation where I need transportation for my 4 dogs

Highly recommend and would 100% use again!

Carol Robinson

They took myself and my elderly dog to the vets. She was at the end of her life and they were superb, carrying her into the vets for me. Live aboard a Narrowboat and it would have been an even more difficult time if not for them

Emma Ashworth

Highly professional and very caring. Communication with both Verity and Mandy was excellent and our puppy was very happy when he arrived. Verity and Mandy were happy to accept last minute changes and were always primarily concerned for the animal’s welfare. Thank you for a fantastic service at a difficult time.

A HUGE thank you to Mandy and Jack at Animals at Home!
Our cat Spirit needed urgent attention yesterday at a pet hospital in Birmingham. It was a very upsetting time and the Covid-19 restrictions made it even more stressful and confusing.
Mandy went over and above with her kindness and understanding and contacted the hospital in advance in order to clarify with them what was happening and when.
We are not confident motorway drivers so we were absolutely dreading having to drive her there. Instead Jack picked her up from our home in the foggy, dark morning in the pet ambulance – he was calm and reassuring and an excellent driver and waited until Spirit had her treatment and then drove her back again .
Spirit is thankfully back to her mischievous ways and completely unfazed by her ordeal.
Thank you so much – you took away the stress and made everything so much easier to cope with. We cannot recommend your services too highly
