Welcome to Animals at Home (Cornwall) Ltd.

Hello! I am Jason and I have had pets for as long as I can remember! From the small furry ones, to snakes, chickens, cats, dogs and now have my two wonderful working German Shepherds who are training to be search dogs for local search groups. I have been involved with animals for years and started with Animals at Home in 2021, so it is a new venture for me! I am a Volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust and have been for the last few years. It is great to be able to give something back to the local community.

We are fully insured, DBS checked and qualified a pet carers.

Dog Walking

We provide a Dog Walking service to exercise your dog when you are unable to.

We provide dog walking when you are unable to. We can offer individual walks if required.

Do you work long hours? Sometimes away all day? Does your dog show signs of stress or boredom? Maybe you cannot walk your dog due to health reasons? Let us walk your dog on your behalf, just sit back and watch the photo and video updates roll in so you can see what fun they are having!

Exercise is important to your dog.

The Kennel Club recommends that a dog be walked for at least 30 to 40 minutes a day. We will come to your house and chat with you about your dog’s needs to ensure your dog has a walk suitable to his/her ability.  Your dog may be more comfortable in an area they know, or happy to explore new places, we always ensure we offer the best possible walk for your dog.

Dog walking could not be easier, contact us for a discussion on how you would like us to exercise your dog.

Dog Home Boarding. Your dog will be cared for in a manner as a close as possible to their usual home environment. If your dog is used to a quiet life with no children or other dogs, then our host family again will be similar. You will be invited to visit the host family before you choose, so you can see where your best friend will be staying and meet the people who will look after them. When the family has been selected, you may want your dog to go to that family every time you go away, and this is something we strive for. We will also provide your pet’s transport to and from the host family, so you will have complete peace of mind that your companion is being cared for straight away.

Pet Sitting, Cats, Rabbits and Chickens to name but a few, and do not forget those Parrots and Budgies need attention whilst you are away. We can either arrange daily visits, or with those parrots and budgies, why not let us look after them in our own home and give them the company they need.

We endeavour to ensure that all your pet’s needs are met. To achieve this, we will come and visit you and your pets to fully find out your requirements. During our visit, we will note all feeding, cleaning, exercise routines and any medications, if applicable. We then draw up a care plan which is sent to you for your approval. We know how much you care and worry about them and that is why we take extra special care of them whilst you are away.

Transportation: We have a specially fitted out vehicle which is DEFRA approved so can offer a Pet Ambulance or Taxi service for owners who are unable to drive or are unavailable to take their pets to the vet or groomers. We collect, accompany, and return your pet home. You, as the owner are always welcome to travel with your pet if you would prefer. We can transport to anywhere else in the UK or indeed into Europe in our specialist animal ambulance, which is designed specifically for the safe transportation of animals.

Pet Transport Abroad. When you are travelling abroad, we understand it can be stressful enough dealing with your own arrangements. Let us do the hard work for you. As dedicated pet movers, we can cover all your pets’ needs, from supplying IATA compliant travel containers to arranging boarding facilities for cats and dogs in case flights are delayed. We know what documentation needs completing and are always up to date with HM Customs & Excise regulations.

Pet Cremations. When you are ready to say goodbye, we can arrange a private pet cremation service. The choice of how you wish to say goodbye is yours. We believe guaranteed individual cremation is the best way. We can collect your pet from your home, or your vet and take them direct to the Crematorium. We will return your pets ashes to you at home as you require.

Host families Wanted!

We need dog loving Home Boarding Host Families to join us to look after other people’s dogs….

Many of our families are retired people who enjoy the flexibility of caring for a pet without the full-time responsibility or may work from home and would like some company.

Alternatively, they may be at home during the day and would like to have a dog part-time. A visiting dog compliments their existing situation perfectly, whilst earning some additional income.

Becoming a Boarding Host!

  • If you are able to enjoy the companionship of looking after pets, without the full-time responsibility.
  • Great exercise, very sociable.
  • You become part of a pet loving national organisation.
  • You are supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • You can add extra income for the household.

Please call me to arrange a chat on 0333 577 5050
