Animals at Home Cornwall was established in March 2015 with the aim of offering quality animal care and transport services within the county. We are unique amongst other franchises within the group in that we have a whole county, rather than an area within a county to operate within.
The business has a core base of returning clients who value our reliable and personal one to one service. As of November 2018, we have confirmed bookings in 2019 of 92 days house-sitting and 31 days home boarding and we would want a new owner to honour these commitments. Other bookings will be expected early in 2019 from regular clients and new client enquiries.
We have a mixture of 3 couples and 3 single people who home-board client’s pets, some of whom house-sit as well, and 1 person who exclusively house-sits for us. They are lovely people always ready to help, if you get stretched.
With 6 million visitors to Cornwall every year we get enquiries from holidaymakers who are looking for day and over-night care, so they can visit those places where their dogs are not allowed. There is a plethora of holiday parks, hotels and, cottage owners which could be approached to increase turnover in this area.
